On the street, it’s known as “wasping.” It means spraying bug spray on meth or heating and crystalizing the bug spray to snort or smoke it. “When you ingest stuff like this, it changes the chemical characteristics of your blood,” said Phil Price, with the Cherokee Multi-Agency Drug Task Force.

The Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit drug task force seized nine pounds of meth and arrested two people. The task force also confiscated eight ounces of heroin, 24 grams of psilocybin (mushrooms), a firearm and $1,300 cash.

According to Commander Justin Conley of the Brown County Drug and Major Crimes Task Force, the people arrested are allegedly responsible for distributing more than 100 pounds of methamphetamine and several firearms in the area.
